Okay my lovelies, I’m off to bed. I’m exhausted. Replies shall come in the morning.

“I know, right!?” she got all excited when talking about the vampires. “Strength, speed, whatever. If it bleeds, it can die.” Okay whoa, calm down Vivian. Don’t get all giddy about hunting. Now he’ll think you’re insane. “See? We’re clearly bad influences on each other because we have no manners.” she teases.
Once they’ve stopped, she looks out the window at the building. But she can’t help but giggle at him when he starts to stumble over his words. Yep, he’ll definitely be a distraction. “Another wolf owns this place? Well, generally loners aren’t welcome in other packs territory. I don’t want to start a war in your house, but if you’re sure its okay, then I guess I’ll take you up on your offer. I don’t have anywhere else to go.” she shrugs.
“Absofuckinglutely” Jack grinned widely and was almost about to raise his hand to high five the were when he realized how crazy the whole thing must be sounding for any on-lookers. He laughed and loosened up on his seat, “Yeap, pretty bad I think, but whatya gonna do, right?”.
He started thinking how to explain Henry. Technically, he wasn’t a were anymore, not for a long shot, but he was still an alpha… though his pack consisted of 2 witches, 1 warlock and this petty human hunter… “Uhm- not necessarily. See, Henry is… particular. He’s kinda one of a kind you could say”, he stops grinning when he realizes he’s probably overdoing it. And why is he all giddy around this chick anyway? She was dangerous. Just the way you like them. “Trust me, it’s gonna be fine. Plus he only comes from time to time and I don’t think he’ll have a problem. So shall we?” he adds as he reaches for his door.

Vivian thought everything over for a moment and then nodded. “Yeah, lets go.” she opens the car door and slides out, still eyeing the place. This must be one interesting house if the guy who owns it was a wolf and one of his roomies was ‘Hot Hunter of the Year’ over here. Now she was more curious than scared and so she followed him to the house.
With the wards and everything, she’d at least be safe from the hunters that had been tracking her over the last few weeks. And at least she wouldn’t be alone for now. Wolves were pack animals, so Vivian was definitely craving some companionship. But even though Jack said he only hunted bad supernaturals, he was still a hunter and that made her a little nervous…and it was also a strange, masochistic kind of turn on.
Vivian actually laughed when he said he had no manners. “I can see that.” she giggles again. “I don’t either, so don’t worry about it.” Vivian runs a hand through her hair and sighs. “Its a pleasure to meet you Jack, even if the circumstances aren’t exactly perfect and don’t get me started on vamps. Those leeches think they’re tough shit.” she shook her head. “That is, until I shift. Then, not so tough.” Wow, was she making jokes about killing vampires? Real smooth, super normal. Good job, Viv. “I uhm, I appreciate the offer, but I don’t have much money. I don’t want to be a burden, so you can just drop me off at the nearest bus station if you want.”
The wolf within her was conflicted. It couldn’t decide if it wanted to kill him or dominate him. Vivian tried to keep the two feelings separate, but sometimes it was hard. She was a bit fidgety It was getting close to the full moon and she hadn’t been able to shift a lot lately. Vivian had a lot of pent up energy because of it.
Jack chuckles along with her and nods, “Yeah, I kinda picked on that”, he retorts playfully as he parks the car near the building entrance and shifts on the seat to give her his full attention. He finally takes a good look at her and picks on how fidgety she is, full moon’s coming, right. “Likewise Vivian”, he’s a bit surprised and confused about how talkative and open to discuss these things she is. It’s a nice change of pace from his… roommates. No, his family. “God I hate those sons of bitches. Sure you’re super fast and strong, guess what? You can die just as quickly as me fucker”, he shut himself up frowning again, “See? No manners”. Great Freddie, keep up the good work, you’re not gonna scare her away and set her loose in the middle of New York, shit what were you thinking? He looked up at her again and shook his head, “It’s okay, you don’t have to pay”, okay that’s sounding wrong. “I mean we own the place. Well I don’t- Okay I sort- Nevermind this were owns the place and it has wards and no demons or vamps can get it. And there’s this basement where you can shift if you want. No one’s gonna bother you. I mean it’s not the same of course but” Shut up, just shut the fuck up right now Freddie.

Did he just…did he just tell her to ‘drop the attitude’? Every word that came out of his cute mouth just pissed her off. Snarky little attractive son of a…Vivian quickly dropped that train of thought when she realized that the reason he was pissing her off was because he was a lot like her. Vivian behaved the same way to him. How could she expect anything different?
“Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot. I’m just…” she sighed. “As much as I’m used to dealing with hunters, I’d be a liar if it didn’t scare me every time a gun was pointed at me.” her voice lowered and she calmed down. “I’m Vivian and thank you for what you did for me. Also, no…I don’t have any place to stay.” Vivian’s Irish accent was quite thick, so she was clearly not from around here. She’d been on the run for so long, she’d almost forgotten what help for good people was like.
Jack took a deep breath and tried to keep his bloody mouth shut for once, this was a dire situation and he had absolutely no doubt that if the wolf took over her, then his nice vintage recently restored car would be completely soaked in his blood. Not nice. He could try and stop being a dick, specially when his bloody life depended on it.
He looked at her when he talked and noticed how she too was trying to calm down and change her attitude. That was a good start, so he pursed his lips into a small smile and looked up to the street again, looking her whenever they hit a red light, “I agree”, taking a breather he added, “It freaks me out when I’m 1 on 1 with a vamp too. It’s scary and I’m sorry for our part. I do wanna try and help you if you let me”, he said taking a turn and slowing down. “Look, we have this building, it’s like an inn or a hostel or whatever. It’s has wards so no nasty business can happen there. You can stay, no one will harm you” he furrowed his eyebrows and hit his head with his hand, “and I’m Jack. And have no manners, I’m sorry”
Vivian gave him the, are you fucking kidding me?, look. “Did you just seriously admit to me that you are a hunter? And then try and justify it by saying that you aren’t that kind of hunter? Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t rip out your throat and feed it back to you?” One of Vivian’s hands curled into a fist, her knuckles popping as she did so. A low, almost inaudible rumble came from her throat. “No, wait…” she looked away from him and exhaled slowly, calming herself down. “I’m sorry. That was…rude.” she shook her head. “I’m not good at dealing with people and you helped me, so I guess I can give you the benefit of the doubt too.”
Jack cleared his throat. He needed to remember that most werewolves weren’t as collected as Henry, “Yes, I also said I wouldn’t kill you, so drop the attitude”, he said through clenched teeth as he unconsciously drove a little faster. “I hunt murderers okay? That’s what I do. Mainly vampires or hybrids. Or completely insane supes that can’t control themselves and shamelessly kill. Now is that so bad? Yeah okay, maybe not the best audience to raise that question”, he said out loud what he was thinking. Again, bad move. “Yes it was rude”, he spoke in a softer tone, realizing she was trying to calm herself down, this wasn’t looking good, not at all, “That makes two of us, I suck at this”, he chuckled gazing at her for a moment and then looking back at the road, “Got a place to stay?”
Did he just…did he just tell her to ‘drop the attitude’? Every word that came out of his cute mouth just pissed her off. Snarky little attractive son of a…Vivian quickly dropped that train of thought when she realized that the reason he was pissing her off was because he was a lot like her. Well, so far so good. He hadn’t tried to kill her or worse. Vivian relaxed a little. Now that they were in the car together, she looked him over and inhaled slowly, taking in every bit of his scent. Vivian made no attempt to hide this, but then again, she didn’t particularly care what this man thought at the moment. “You aren’t a hunter…but you knew about them and you knew about me. And no, its just me. I have no others to worry about, but they’ve been after me for a while.” she crossed her arms her chest. “So…you’re like a hunter for hunters? Or…?” she raised a brow.
Jack pressed his hands against the wheel and tried to relax, it wasn’t the first time he was alone with a supe not it’ll be the last. He relaxed his shoulders as he drove downtown thinking that she hadn’t tried killing him yet, that was certainly good, “I am actually. I just… I’m not your typical hunter you could say”, he shrugged and eyed her for a second, his eyes back on the road. He’ll have to give her more than that if he expected to walk out of the car alive, didn’t he? “I’ve been a hunter most of my life. Those guys? They weren’t hunters, they were dicks with guns. Plus I don’t kill people that are clear you know. You could’ve gotten them and you didn’t. That gives you the benefit of the doubt in my book”

Vivian was too distracted to notice that a car had pulled up beside her. It wasn’t until she heard a voice call out to her that she snapped back to reality. At first, she took a step back, but then she realized he wasn’t a hunter. Or at least he didn’t smell like one. Quickly, Vivian analyzed this this situation. One, she was pretty sure he could take him if needed. He was mortal. Two, getting into a car with a stranger wasn’t smart, but she needed an out and this just might be her chance. Bonus, he was attractive. Finally she moved, and without saying a word, she jumped into his car. “Drive fast.”
Once Vivian was in the car, she was suddenly curious about why he offered her a ride. This was not just some dude hoping to score. He knew that she needed a way out. Which meant he either knew what she was, or he was simply a concerned citizen seeing a lady in distress. Vivian was pretty sure it was the first option.
Jack didn’t expect the supe they were after to be so… hot, that was definitely a plus. He noticed how she was assessing the situation, he had seen that face before. Boy he was glad he hadn’t brought that many hunting things right now, otherwise she would’ve picked on them. Scent, right. C’mon man, you’ve been doing this for years, stop being such an idiot cos the sup is cute.
He grinned widely when she jumped on the car, “Buckle up” he said eyeing her for a second and then shift gears, and then again and again, getting as far away as possible in the Chrysler Imperial Henry had given him. He had tuned it up and it was good as new, “I’m Jack by the way”, he said as he swiftly drove through the streets, checking in the rear view mirror if they had finally lost them. Once they were far enough from the hunters and around midtown, he slowed down. He thought for a second what to say, but then realized she probably figured out that he figured out what she was so… what the hell. “I apologize for those idiots, they’re totally clueless. Hopefully they didn’t harm anyone you knew?” Check for packs, yes, that was so subtle of you.

Shit, shit, shit. She knew she shouldn’t have shifted in that area. Why the fuck did she do that? Vivian could smell those motherfuckers a mile away. They smelled of cheap beer and gun metal. “Hunters,” she breathed out. Vivian looked around desperately for the best way out of here. Heading back into the forest would be suicide. She would have to go back into the city. It was her best bet, even though she couldn’t shift there. Vivian took one last look around before taking off at a dead run towards the city’s edge. She’d have to come back for her car in the morning.
Once Vivian saw city lights, she stopped. The wolf within her clawed violently to get out. Her once sweet eyes, flashed a brilliant gold. Sometimes it was hard to separate her instincts from logic. “No,” she shook her head a bit and ran a hand through her hair. Sure, she could shift and tear each one of those sons of bitches apart, but she couldn’t do it. Not anymore. No more blood was going to be spilt by her hands, hunters or not. A normal life, that’s all she wanted.
Jack had been trailing those stupid hunters for weeks now. Hunters, right, that was an exaggeration. They were redneck dicks with guns that thought that knew what they were doing… until a pissed off were took one for lunch. Shit man, sometimes he wondered why he even bothered haunting supes when the problem most of the time were humans.
Fine, he was bias. He lived with two powerful witches and a Hybrid that couldn’t be killed. Precisely, not all supes were bad. If Henry had taught him anything was that people deserved a 2nd chance. He needed to stop these dicks before they bumped into something bigger and badder, or before they were turned and god, he didn’t want to deal with that shitload of trouble.
He followed them, they were trailing a were that had at least 3 chances of having the upper hand and took none. The were wasn’t trying to kill them so why would they keep on fucking with it huh? Right now he had two choices: take on 5 hunters that would probably break a couple of his bones before he could convince them to fuck off or help the were to make a run for it. So he speed up his car, stopped by her side and opened the door, “Need a ride?”
